  • Branden Albert likely out until Week 3

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that Branden Albert is inactive tonight, and isn't expected back until the Week 3 game against Buffalo. In his place, Dallas Thomas will get the start at LT tonight. In addition, Jamar Taylor is out tonight, but will be back for Week 1 against Washington.

Not happy about it, but rather he miss this time and come back ready than risk re-injury coming back too soon. Guess we better look closely at Thomas tonight.

Hopefully he didn't re-tweak his knee practicing..if this is just a precautionary move i am all for it. He needs to sit 'til he's as close to 100% as we can get him, he's way too important to our season to screw around with...As far as Jamar Taylor goes, i really like his potential but it seems like he stays injured!

Well, now Armando Salguero is reporting that the team is still working off the original timeline, and expects Albert to be ready to go Week 1. Who knows what's going on.

I don't care early in the season what game he is back for, just don't rush it. I would rather him be out the first three games against Was, Jax and Buff, than to be rushed back, get re-injured an miss the rest of the season.

Absolutely. While they're all games we need to win, ultimately they're games, other than maybe Buffalo, where one offensive lineman shouldn't be the determining factor; if it is, you have larger issues. Make sure he's healed up and ready to go, because rushing him back isn't just putting him at risk, but Tannehill, Miller, and anybody else lining up in the backfield.
