  • DB and safety 40 times

Vernon Hargreaves 4.50 - Thats a little disappointing as he was expected to run in the 4.4 range although he will probably run closer to that at his pro day. He only measured at 5'10.4" tall.

Jalen Ramsey 4.41 - That will only further solidify his draft stock as a likely top 5 pick.

Eli Apple - 4.40 - Combine that speed with his 6'0.5" height and his draft stock is going to soar. He will likely now be a first round selection.

Artie Burns 4.46 - A good time along with his measured 5'11.7" height and he might now be taken in the 2nd round.

Deon Bush 4.64 - That probably neither helps or hurts his draft stock as he is expected to be drafted in the 4th or 5th round.

Sean Davis 4.46 - Thats good speed along with good size measuring in at a little over 6 feet.

William Jackson 4.37 - Nobody saw that kind of speed coming from him and combine his measured height at a little over 6 feet and his draft stock will soar maybe even into the bottom portion of the first round.

Eric Murray 4.49 - That will probably help his draft stock some although he is undersized at 5'10.5". He could be an interesting 4th round selection.

Darian Thompson 4.69 - Thats a bit disappointing since he was a ball hawk at Boise State and he had a good Senior Bowl. He probably won't slip too much maybe into the bottom portion of the 2nd round.

Kevon Seymour 4.39 - I don't know much about him but with a height of over 5'11" and that kind of speed he will get some attention. He played for USC.

Deandre Houston-Carson 4.53 - A small school prospect from William & Mary. Thats good speed for a safety. He could be an interesting 5th round selection.

Cyrus Jones 4.49 - He was a good corner for Alabama. He probably projects as a slot corner in the NFL as he is only over 5'9" tall. Mayock rated him the #5 corner in the draft but most mock sites seem to have him as a 4th or 5th round prospect.

Fricken can't believe Ramsey 2 inches taller is faster than Hargreaves. I'm also shocked Hargreaves ran into the 4.5 wow just wow.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

We don't have a prayer at Ramsey and since I'm a Gator fan and have seen Hargreaves play, he's still my #1 choice.

The NFL Scouting Combine is officially over with the defensive backs taking center stage.

With the conclusion of Monday's workouts, the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is officially complete as the defensive backs hit the field. TheNew York Giants seem to always get hit with injuries in the secondary making this group a must watch. Let's review the prospects that impressed and who could be sliding down the draft boards.
          Winners

Jalen Ramsey: As expected, Ramsey proved himself in being a world class athlete after lighting up the combine on Monday. Ramsey has prototypical size for a DB at 6-foot-1, 209 pounds. He's got the speed with a 40-yard dash of 4.41 seconds and the best jumping ability as he dominated the broad and vertical jumps. Already projected as a top five pick, Ramsey conceivably raised his stock as he could enter the discussion being taken number one overall. The question with Ramsey is whether he will start his career a free safety or a cornerback but there is no doubt that he is a special prospect.

Vernon Hargreaves III: If Ramsey is drafted as a safety, Hargreaves could potentially be the highest taken corner in the draft. Some scouts had issues with his size and physicality on tape and needed a strong combine to boost his stock. Hargreaves passed with flying colors with rave reviews from scouts, including Mike Mayock. Hargreaves had a solid 40-yard dash with an official time of 4.5 seconds. Just like Ramsey, Hargreaves dominated the jumping drills as he placed top five in both the vertical and broad jump out of all defensive backs. Hargreaves looked fluid and swift in the positional drills cementing him as one of the top corners available. Could he be a dark-horse candidate for the Giants at 10th overall?

I say he won't be a dark horse pick for the Giants at 10 cus we're gonna snatch him up at 8.

Hargreaves 4.5 40 shouldn't matter anyway as his instincts and play would make up for any lack of perceived speed.

Never recall seeing anyone run away from him in college. Guess there's football speed and track speed. Wonder what he'll run at his pro day?

I've read that Hargreaves was timed at 4.43 previously. Whatever bad stuff is being reported on him - keep it up and keep him available at #8. ;-)
