  • 2016 Salary cap

Teams now know how much they have to spend, assuming they want to spend it.A league source tells PFT the salary cap for the 2016 season has been set at $155.27 million per team by the NFL and the NFLPA.That’s a bump of around $12 million from last year’s limit of $143.3 million, not including the cap [more]

I would prefer to use the money on our offensive line and the defensive backfield, then draft a DE. I think there are some quality DE's this year in the draft that could start day one.

You may be right. At least we got an extra 12/13 mil to spend for FA .

I like it! It gives the front office options. I just hope and pray that they do the right thing with this money, unlike previous front office personnel have done. Tannenbaum needs to prove he has changed his way and I hope for our sake that he has.

It's a $5.27M increase over what was being used as a projected cap. We are now at $14M under.

I used this increase a few days ago in my seeing at least $35M in cap space, without restructures. Everyone gets it but I think it helps us a little more than many.

Good thing about Ross is that putting aside appropriate funds for emergency and what not, he is not afraid to spend it all.
