  • RB options in the draft

I am starting to lean towards not resigning Lamar Miller. He had a few games where he put up the bulk of his stats. In many games however he was a non factor. So I believe his production or lack thereof had more to do with how well our o-line performed.

I would rather put the $5M or so per year that he will command in free agency towards a defensive player or an o-lineman. If we can improve our o-line then I believe that Ajayi and a RB that we might draft would perform just as well as Miller. So I would prefer to draft a RB to pair with Ajayi. Here are some draft options starting in round 3 since I would not draft a RB before that.

    Round 3 Devontae Booker - Utah - 1,261 yards 4.7 YPC 11 TD's 37 receptions for 318 yards.

    Round 3 Alex Collins - Arkansas - 1,577 yards 5.8 YPC 20 TD's 13 receptions for 95 yards.

    Round 4 Paul Perkins - UCLA - 1,343 yards 5.7 YPC 14 TD's 30 receptions for 242 yards.

    Round 4 Jordan Howard - Indiana - 1,213 yards 6.2 YPC 9 TD's 11 receptions 106 yards.

    Round 5 CJ Procise - Notre Dame - 1,032 yards 6.6 YPC 11 TD's 24 receptions for 308 yards.
