  • James Laurinaitis anybody?

He just turned 29 a couple months ago, and has been a solid MLB for the Rams, not missing a single game in seven seasons...
He was due $6,4 mil this season, and then $6.3 for 2017 (+ $2 mil roster bonus)
We need some leadership in the LB corps, anybody think he might fir our needs?

I would absolutely be on the phone with him...

Hey Wulf! I almost put out an APB for you. The answer to your question is yes but at the right price. I hear he is a great leader but ratings on his play is near the bottom.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

I think it would be a brilliant move to sign him. I was high on him coming out of college and I am still baffled as to why the Dolphins didn't draft a linebacker that year with so many to choose from in the first two rounds.

Yes I would sign him if the price is right. He would be an upgrade over Sheperd and we would then not have to draft a MLB in the higher rounds.

I have my doubts. He had a very bad year and while only 29 has played for 8 years, taking it's toll. I like the leadership for a 2 down Mike but, wonder is we may be better served with Hewitt or a pick.

The price should be good. I heard a rumor that the only reason they are letting some of their players test free agency is because Fisher really wants to solidify his defensive backfield , so players like Johnson who we wanted may not be available.

Yeah I really wanted to sign either Trumaine Johnson or Janoris Jenkins in free agency. If we can't then that makes drafting Vernon Hargreaves in the first round a much easier decision.

I usually read each week, but this is a busy time of year for me, Aqua,

We have so many irons in the fire these days, that I will probably have to start using a full time accountant, so as to spend more time in the "hands-on" areas...

Even though PFF had Laurinaitis as one of the worst rated LB's out there (I'm not a huge fan of PFF) his leadership and ability to plug the middle would be light-year's better than what we currently have..I have however read that he's gonna take his time in finding his new team and is looking to sign with an immediate contender which would obviously remove us from the equation...

Did any of the Dolphins linebackers even make PFF's list? If Lauranitis rated that low I can't imagine where the Dilphins linebackers ranked. In my opinion it is one of the Dolphins weakest positions.

yeah, the Dolphins LB's most definitely rank...Just not by the definition of the word 'rank' we'd like!
