  • Dolphins defense might be facing Cousins in DC week 1...

According to ESPN The Redskins are planning on starting Kirk Cousins at quarterback in their regular-season opener against the Dolphins, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini.
Cousins, who has started nine games over his first three seasons in the NFL, would get the starting nod over Robert Griffin III, who is awaiting clearance to play after suffering concussionlike symptoms Aug. 20 in a preseason game.

That's not good news for us... Cousins is dangerous compared to RG

Agreed. Their offense seems to pick up considerably when he came in where with RGME, their offense looked, well, offensive.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

I agree. This whole time I was hoping that the Dolphins would be facing RGME. Cousins is the better quarterback in my opinion and I would prefer to face Griffin,

Rather face RGme! Cousins is out to prove himself. Then again he laid some eggs too. What's scary is that at their house and adrenal first game!

                Some good info here... http://www.hailredskins.com/vbforum/...ad.php?t=56204

Most Skins fans are done with RG-ME and ready for the team to move on from the never ending drama. Scherff has been a disappointment on their OL as well and Suh and Wake are going to be a rude awakening for the rookie and their not so good OL. Cousins isn't scary and we have a very scary defense. Our offense is much improved and their defense is meh.

We should win this one handily and set the tone for the season.

Many Skins fans are frustrated, after waiting to see SOME "PAYOFF" for their 2012 draft first-round selection (#6 overall), second-round selection (#39 overall) plus their 2013 and 2014 first-round selections......

At least they got 2 QBs in that draft and Cousins may actually develop. RG-Me is done there IMO. They should trade him to Houston, San Diego, or maybe the stej. lol...

If Snyder had stayed out of it, chances are that Shannahan would've taken Tannehill. Still so glad we didn't end up with Griffin or Weeden.

Like many have already stated i was hoping to see RGME behind center, but let's face it, if we can't beat the Skins no matter who's at QB..Well, let's just say it wouldn't bode well for the rest of the season...

As far as the Skins OLinemen not liking RGME, i pictured a 'Longest Yard' type scenario where the OLine just let's the D come storming in intentionally..I also picture our boys saying, 'We got this under control..don't need any help, thank you very much'

Exactly, doesn't matter if it's Cousins, RG3, or McCoy if Miami can't beat them than lets start looking at next year...

Yes, a lot of people are expecting the Skins as a team to rally around Cousins as the players reportedly all want him as the starter and Griffin gone.

I'm not sure I'm buying the whole concussion ordeal. One day he is cleared, the next day a neuropsychologist says he isn't cleared. Rumors of the OL hating RG3 and now the talk of Cousins starting week 1. That's a lot of drama heading into the first week of the season. If we lose this game, I'll be shocked!!

Concussion of 'convenience' ... Gruden and the team want to move on from what is being reported and talked about on their forums.

If we can not beat a career back up in Cousins then we are not as good as we thought on defense are we? This team should be able to face the best and win or at least compete closely against the league elite. Cousins is not elite. I look forward to a day when we don't have to worry about who lines up against us because we are the baddest muthas on the field any given day.
