I lost a lot of respect for the guy last night. Denver's defense was great. But he played like crap too. Missed open WRs, put the ball on the ground, bad passes. And then when he could have jumped on the ball after he fumbled he hopped back like a little girlie man. What????! And to top it all he pouts through his press conference and walks off. He liked those cameras and media an awful lot when he was dabbing and dancing and winning. Can't man up and face the music? Please. And it makes me sick that most of the analyst are giving him a pass on it all. They covet him so much that they are protecting him. Makes me sick. Like I said he lost major respect last night.

He represents all that is wrong with today's athletes. Show off prima donna and then no accountability. Stinks up the character of the sport.

Completely agree... he showed the world that he's still the same immature, self-centered child-man that he's always been and that he still can't play from the pocket or make clutch plays and accurate passes under pressure when he can't run out of the pocket. He lost his composure several times in that game and showed no leadership whatsoever when they went down early in the game and had to play from behind.
Hope he learned some real humility this time, but I doubt it....

I am not making an excuse for him as I have never been and am not a Newton fan, which is the biggest reason I couldn't really pull for Carolina. However, listening to Brian Dawkins he said if you watched the press conference the way the press rooms were set up were horrible because you could hear the other side. Dawkins talked about how emotional a loss is and especially a SB loss and that you have 15 minutes to pull your emotions together and come answer some hard questions. He stated in the background you could here Chriss Harris talking about how they frustrated and shut down Newton all day.
As I said, not making excuses and he could have acted better and even made up for it afterwards (which I haven't seen him do yet) but there was a little more to it than met the eye...

Oh, well that changes things. He shouldn't have to have overheard the Broncos Q/A or them bragging about their winning... he was completely right to act like a petulant child and pout and leave. lol...
What a douche... before the game was even played he was warming up in a special pair of gold colored ''MVP'' labeled shoes and talking shit as something he loves to do is brag and taunt. He can dish it, but can't take it. Well, to the victors go the spoils.
So right before his presser, Cam overheard Broncos DB, Chris Harris saying that their game plan was to contain his running and force him to beat them as a passer from the pocket as they didn't think he do it. They were right, he was under constant pressure, his passes were bad all night and Phil Simms bagged on his poor accuracy most of the game.
Dude had this jumbo slice of humble pie coming. Glad he choked on it and hope he learns some humility - but I doubt it. As soon as the Panthers win their first game next season, he'll be back to his full on ****ery...
YMMV.

I'm not defending him as I said I don't like him, never have. His "all about me" attitude rubs me the wrong way. Just wanted to add a little background noise to it.
He had a chance to eat humble pie today and didn't. He didn't say he was sorry for his actions or could have acted better...FOOK him, still cant stand him...lol
