  • Worst half time show EVER!

The music sucked. It looked like a street hooker, skate boarder dude and a Michael Jackson reject LMFAO!

    AHA!! It was weak.

Actually, what i thought sucked was the commercials! I guess the great Super Bowl commercials of the past have died a slow death!!!

Agree and I don't remember this many commercials. As long as Denver won I can tolerate it.

Alec Baldwin and Dan Marino commercial was the best...

''I will so sack that man''...

          Dan: ''No you won't''

Beyonce is terrible and her nappy ass hair looks like some dead seaweed what washed up on a beach somewhere and her legs are too fat and flabby for that outfit. Bruno and Coldplay both were MEH... show sucked overall.

Thought they should've paid some homage to David Bowie instead of that shat they were singing.

Bowie...I'm still crushed. At least he was represented in a commercial.

I think one thing that all of us old-timer's need to remember is that most of the artist's we grew up listening to...are dead now! SB halftime shows are now geared to the younger generation...

Difference being that most of the music we listened too back in the day has stood the test of time and was performed by people with real talent.

This shat today is all enhanced electro noise from make believe celebrities more known for exorbitant excesses and general douche baggery than any real talent.

Thought the Skittles commercial with Steven Tyler with the ''Dream On'' song was interesting. My youngest daughter, who is 13, has recently mastered that song on her acoustic guitar. My favorite song by them...

Hoping they will continue to switch every other year on new music/performers and older music/musicians...

your right about the music, being a guitarist myself in a working band, they have this great full sounding band with just a guitar ,bass ,drums, where are all the other musicians? I enjoyed the who's performance a few years ago, real musicians playing real music without all the tracking and robotic synth crap.
glad to hear that your daughter is playing areosmith, hopefully the young continue to honor the past music that way!

Yeah, all my kids are musically inclined... 2 on guitar, the other 2 play piano and violin. My youngest also draws and paints. She loves older stuff and even some Glenn Campbell and Johnny Cash guitar stuff. A lot of the older country performers were extremely good musicians, they just get lost in the wash of the genre of country music. She is working on some Metallica stuff right now.

that's great, in some way a lot of the blues and rock and roll came from the licks of old country songs. no modern day electronics that keep you in key and stuff like that back then, real musicians!

yeah, but that's pretty much what every older generation has said about the 'new' music these young kids are listening to...I NEVER in a million years thought that i'd turn into my dad with the "TURN THAT SHIT DOWN!!!" & the "JESUS, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LISTENING TO??!!!" but that's exactly what it's come down to...As far as last night's performance; i'm not real familiar with any of the three that played so i couldn't name a song or two by the whole bunch, but i do think they're all talented (Beyonce in a Janet Jackson sort of way, Coldplay i'm sure is a very talented group of musicians & i like the energy, voice & moves of that kid Bruno Mars)

As far as today's music goes, i can probably count the number of artist's i know or recognize on one hand as my daughter's grown and my son only listens to shit (lol!) i no longer keep in touch, but IMO it takes a lot of talent to do what almost every one of those artists do...That being said, even though i'm quickly creeping up on being as old as dirt, i wouldn't trade the music i grew up with for anything!

Coldplay was the most talented of the bunch IMO. The others are more like dancers and entertainers than actual musicians, altho Bruno can actually play several instruments and sing.

Thankfully, since all my kids play instruments it's easier to get them to listen to older stuff. Weird that they now consider music from the 90's and older ''oldies''... lol...

I would have been happy if they just had Bruno again. Cold Play and Beyonce were just bad...Of course they could have had Santana do the show and bring in some of the people that have sang for him. I mean it's not like he's grew up and resides from the San Fran area or anything...LOL

Not a fan of the new Journey singer... he's no where near the singer Steve Perry was.

I think Arnel's fantastic with an incredible story behind him but i'll give you that he's no where near the singer Steve Perry was..very few are! I've seen where other artist's have said that he had the greatest rock & roll voice ever...

The only performer last night that I even liked was Lady Gaga. She did such a good job on the Star Spangled Banner, she almost brought tears to my eyes. I Hate when performers screw the song up trying to make it "Different" but last night I thought she did a spectacular job.

I'm a bit out of touch with today's music (and that's a serious understatement) and while i've heard of Lady Gaga, i'm pretty sure i couldn't name a song she sings...She can definitely sing though!

I'm glad she at least looked human for the National Anthem, she is a bid of a freak but she does have a great voice. And no, I can't name a single song off the top of my head either.

Completely agree... I was skeptical to begin with, but she's been trying to prove to people that she's more than a celebrity pumping out pop music. The redhead told she had a great voice, but I wasn't buying it until I heard her sing this. She did a great job.

I'd trade Steven Ross for Steven Tyler..even as grotesque as Steven is these days. He moved here to the Nashville area. A LOT of older pop guys did...Steve W

Bruno Mars at the Grammys a few years back was electric. Now I am not necessarily a fan of his music, but the kid can sing, dance, play drums.....he's like a Sammy Davis Jr of the 2000s. I respect the kid alot. Beyonce...blecch. take your top off and I might watch....lol. Coldplay is average. Let's face it, we're old baby
