    SUPER BOWL L = SUPER BOWL 50

SO, if this Super Bowl going to be a "Loser" Super Bowl, with the Panthers blowing out the Broncos by halftime, making this one of the most boring Super Bowls we've seen in a long time??

Since this game is meaningless to Dolphins fans I thought I would create a thread to have something to talk about today.

Two Questions For Dolphins Fans of this forum...........................

What are your plans for watching the Super Bowl today? Are you going to a party at a friends house? Are you having a party? Are you going to a bar to watch the game? What is on the menu??

What do you think the final score will be and who do you think the MVP of Super Bowl 50 will be?

My Prediction - Panthers 37 vs Broncos 24

I find it totally depressing because it's Super Bowl 50 and we ALL of course know it was our favorite team's 50th Anniversary & how miserably this once proud & storied franchise went about giving their fanbase the end of the season as the only reason to celebrate the momentous occasion!

Watching a team like the Carolina Panthers and a defense like that of the Broncos reminds us how far away from competing we actually are...

While of course i'm hoping for a great game (who isn't, right??) i unfortunately see this game as a blowout..The only way i can see the Bronco's with any chance of winning or even keeping it close is for their D to once again rise to the occasion and play lights-out, i just don't see them being able to do the same things they accomplished against Brady & the Pats (Cam's not gonna just stand there & take the abuse) Also, Denver's O would have to play a flawless game...I do wonder if the refs will call it a bit in Denver's favor as it may very well be PM's final game...

      Panthers 31 Broncos 17

I agree. I think Manning is going to have to play at the top of his game today with no INT's, which is nearly impossible against this defense. The Broncos have a great defense and I think on paper their defense may rank higher then the Panthers, but I do think the Panthers defense is better. If Manning and Kubiac came up with a game plan to mix things up in a way to be able to somehow play mistake-free football and can put up points, they might have a chance. I also think the Broncos defense will be the key to their success. If the Broncos defense can't play lights out today I can't imagine them staying in this game. Newton is just playing at such a high level this year he does appear to be unstoppable. If the Broncos D can fin a way to keep Newton in the pocket and NOT run too much, and score with his legs, I do think the Broncos have a chance. I still think the Panthers are going to win this won.

My Prediction - Panthers 37 vs Broncos 24

Cam Newton MVP - (3 Passing Touchdowns, 1 Rushing Touchdown, 312 Yards Passing, 57 Yards Rushing, 1 INT)

At home with my Son. Simple and stress free. I once held a SB party for 20 and did it by myself. Just family now with my wife cooking our favs. If it's a blow out I say it happens in the 2nd half. Although I want Denver 24-21! MVP Ted Ginn jr!

if it did turn out how you wanted ,I would have won the final quarter of a $100 dollar board and with miami not in it that's why I watch it!
but it turned out 4-0 and I had 4-1 maybe next year! teddy ginn failed to catch a bunch of balls and did his run to the sidelines as quick as he can show!

The way the Panthers are built and playing they should win this game. I don't know who to pull for. Being here in Panther country I lean towards them, but man I would love to see Manning win this, drop the mic and ride off into the sunset. He has been one of the classiest and best players I have every had the pleasure to watch play. Most greats don't get to end their career on a high note...I would love to see it for him.

I am gonna say Denver shocks the world...

            Denver 24 - Carolina 20

I have mixed feeling with who I WANT to win because I really like Rivera and of course Shula is the OC but like you I have to root for a Manning Super Bowl win. I just think if anyone deserves to be able to finish on a high note it is him. He is one of the best quarterbacks I have ever seen play the game. He is a student of the game. He could win the Super Bowl today and because a winning head coach next season if he wanted to be. I just admire his football knowledge and how he can read defenses. I am rooting for Manning and the Broncos but I think they are going to have their hands full on both sides of the ball.

Personally, i don't have a dog in this fight and don't have a team i hate, to root against since both the Pats & Steelers were sent home early! I haven't even yet decided which team i actually want to win..just really hoping for a decent game...

I imagine Ricky Williams probably ended his career on a high note,, but i'm guessing that's probably not what you were speaking of...

                Great thread!

I am watching the game with family with ribs, wings, beer and tons of dips, sides, etc. Good times.

Yeah I am hoping for a great game. What I WANT is for Denver to win. Manning has had a stellar career and I would love to see the guy go out on top. We will miss the Sheriff and he deserves mad respect for his game and tenure in this league. What I THINK will happen is that Carolina wins by three TDs and Jonathan Stewart will rush for 150 years and be the MVP.

                Carolina 31 Denver 10.

defense wins championships, but defense wins championships when they can play defense the whole game and not like miami's defense that lets those big runs or let's teams score fast after miami's offense scores and let's the team right back in the game and retake the momentum.
this bronco's defense showed that if you hurt cam's ego you can get to him and make him make mistakes and rattle his cage, but it seems all QB's are like that, especially brady!~

The Broncos defense can't be compared to the Dolphins defense, unless you are going to go WAY back to the 70's or something. The Dolphins defense doesn't have the player personnel or the coaching to be in the same conversation as the Broncos. IF they want to be, they must go out and sign some key players in free agency and then draft the right guys there to even start to come close to being in the conversation.
