  • Dolphins played a role

The Dolphins played a role in preventing the Patriots from going to the Superbowl. By beating them in the season finale we made the road to the Superbowl in the AFC go through Denver instead of Foxboro. There is no way the Patriots would have lost today if the game was in Foxboro but it was in Denver thanks to the Dolphins.

Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick , NO SUPERBOWL FOR YOU HAHA!

Better to be 6-10 than 5-9 and Pats home field yeah! But I gotta tell you I was stressing.

Great point FTD! I can't believe at the time i was pissed because i figured we were just screwing up our draft position...It was a good game, made great by the fact that whiny-ass Brady (and Gronkowski) & the whole cheatin' bunch will be sitting at home watching the Super Bowl like everyone else!!!

Great Point and I totally agree. If they had to play in Gillette Stadium there would have been many communication problems.......for the Broncos.

It's too bad the Patriots tablets were not working today. BWAHAHAHA

I was pretty pissed that the refs wouldn't call intentional grounding on him in the 4th qtr when he was so obviously doing it. Also thought Gronk should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct in the EZ when he had no chance of catching that TD and he was bitching about a ghost hold around his neck and was all up on the ref screaming at him.

But yeah, fk those guys. lol...

Well isn't this a sweet piece of journalism...

Sorry to say this, but the 2015-16 Patriots are something of a myth. They are forever the fortunate champs of the hideous AFC East, but they cannot win a road playoff game. They have not won a road playoff game in more than nine years (San Diego, January 2007).
Besting the pathetic Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets annually assures the Pats a first-round bye and second-round home game every year, but does not prepare them for the noise and disruption of Sports Authority Field in January. The Pats have simply forgotten how to win in enemy territory.

Photos: Patriots lose AFC Championship Game

The worst part of this unsatisfying ending is that the Patriots are all done because they did not take care of business in Miami on the final weekend of the regular season.
The Pats could have played the Broncos in Foxborough Sunday. New England’s (No. 2) seeding has nothing to do with unfortunate losses to the Eagles and Jets at the end of the season. Those were contested games, played when we still had no clear vision of the AFC playoff alignment. The season finale is quite different. On that day, Jan. 3, the Patriots knew their situation and owned absolute control of their fate. They played a 1 p.m. game in Miami against a team that was ready to hit the golf course. And they tanked. They worked on their running game. They insulted the Dolphins. And they paid the price. With Brady and Rob Gronkowski both exposed to hard hits, the Pats lost to the Dolphins, 20-10. They forfeited the top seed in the AFC. And it came back to bite them Sunday. The Pats got their butts kicked by a team that all of New England laughed at all week.

Exactly, and the Dolphins win over the Patriots in the season finale made it possible. The Pats just don't lose in Foxboro.

When i used to work construction you'd go around and put blue tape to mark wherever something needed fixing or touching up...Those two pieces of blue tape on Brady are marking the only two spots on his body that aren't absolutely killing him!

Yep... and they made their OL Coach the scapegoat by firing him after the game - after heralding the work he was doing earlier in the season... funny thing is that he was Sparano's OL Coach, Dave Deguglielmo...

Wonder if it was the team who fired him, or Giselle? lol...
