I know DF and Cuch are most likely on v5, but I did my first mock sim

    8: R1P8
    CB MACKENSIE ALEXANDER
    CLEMSON

    38: R2P7
    OLB JAYLON SMITH

    197: R7P8

Ramsey was off the board and same with Hargroves....It was a decision between Alexander and Shaq....I picked Alex simply based on BPA....In the 2nd round Jaylon was still sitting there, although he would be IR his first year, you don't pass on a player like that...He can ride the bench for me, no worries.

3rd round - another Guard, but I like what I have seen from Whitehair. Honestly reminds me of Evan Mathis...or at least similar body built.

4th round - Striker is 100% tackler or thumper as scouts would call him. We need that in our run game. He's perfect for 4-3, then will be off in dime and nickel packages

5th round - development QB. I haven't seen much on Doughty, but one thing I love is his long ball. Everything else can be taught...plus he can play the hybrid role and working with Gase could be a nice pick in this round

6th round - I make a reach of Iloka. I like his game, but he is 100% a zone read safety. He needs to be taught how to play man, no shadowing, but sold hip movements

7th round - 3rd and 1 give it to Drake

    7th round - BPA

Even with his injury i see no way Jaylon Smith falls to us in the 2nd round, if so i definitely like the looks of this draft (At least the top half, once it goes past the 4th round i usually don't know who the heck those people are!, lol)...

yeah cuch, i know you're high on Alexander..I like him a lot as well; i actually thought if he hadn't left the National Championship game early with injury, Clemson would've beaten the Tide...

Completely agree. if Clemson had had a healthy Alexander and Shaq Lawson, who was probably only about 70% himself in that game, Clemson wins IMO.

Remember the year we drafted Jared Odrick...there was LB that everyone thought was top 10 pick Sergio Kindle (i think his name was) from Texas. All of sudden he had kidney issues and wasn't drafted at all

Latrell Collin this past year...sure fire top 10 pick...slides all the way down to becomes undrafted...waste not use one of our 4 fifth round picks on him,

Some team could have Smith off their board completely or better yet a second day selection,

If he is even floating around the end of the 1st round I'd offer my 2nd round pick for him

Plans for Cravens? He is a hybrid and since we don't know what kind of D the Dolphins are running I thought he would be a good pickup. I figured if he was too small to play OLB in the NFL the Dolphins could always make a strong safety out of him. Jones can't play forever. Wentz might be a gamble but some experts have him ranked in the first round believe it or not. He could push Tannehill or be a bust. The players I wanted were off the board.

Wentz is moving up the draft boards already. You have to spend a 2nd round pick on him right now and I am guessing he will be a first round pick by the end of this month. It's looks like I got him for a steal in the 3rd round.

I've seen Doughty play twice, once on TV, once in person. He is, IMO better than all but maybe Goff. Maybe. Terry Bradshaw, Louisiana Tech. Brandon Doughty, Western KY. No difference, except Western played a tougher schedule. If he's there in the 4th, you MUST take him. Biggest thing, he's been consistently good nearly his entire career.

Edit...not comparing DOUGHTY to BRADSHAW, the the universities they played for.

1st 3 were my BPA based on who was available and at each position as I weighed them. Took one of the 2 top rated Centers as Pouncey has now missed a 3rd of the past 2 seasons. Tuerk gives us flexibility as Pouncey can play Guard better than Dallas Thomas and Jamil Douglas and we have nothing for depth at Center but Douglas. I'm looking at Billy Turner being back to tackle. Finished out with 2 safeties. Golden is under rated and Blanks is a very nice when healthy. Injuries sidelined him the past 2 seasons.

Love this mock sim site. Here is one I did although I am not so sure on the availability of some of these players in some of the rounds.

        R1. DB Vernon Hargreaves

        R2. LB Joshua Perry

        R3. DE Carl Nassib

        R4. OG Sebastian Tretola

        R5. DT Vincent Valentine

R6. OT Joe Dahl - They listed him as an OG but I think he is really an OT.

        R7. RB Tra Carson

        R7. QB Nate Sudfeld

This site must not have players ranked correctly. There is no way some of these players drop that far down. Theus is the 5th round? Coker and Drake in the 7th?

I highly doubt that Tapper and Hogan will be available in the 7th round but according to the fanspeak mock sim site they were so I took them.

Mine came in like this. Don't love it, and don't hate it. I actually think Tunsil will be the first player drafted but in this on Ramsey went #1 and Hargreaves #7. Lawson was there, but couldn't pass up Tunsil at #8 and if he's there when Miami picks I would hope they would do the same thing. I really like my first four picks, but hate that I really didn't get a CB until round 5...
