  • Bo Hardegree hired as QBs coach

We interviewed former. Bills QB, Frank Reich, for the position but he wanted an OC job.

Hardegree is following Gase from Chicago.

Lol... dunno but looking at his resume, or lack there of, is scary. Nor sure how he got tied into the Bears... Wish we'd gotten Reich.

Rumor is they're still thinking about bringing Reich in.....as competition for Tannehill!

Lol... as long as he can also push Matt Moore and Zac Dysert off the roster, I'm all for it.

I don't see him providing a Tommy Maddox type spark though... ;-)

Hmmm... so it looks like Bo actually has a pedigree and an actual coaching resume... he was an assistant for David Cutcliffe, who groomed both Payton and Eli Manning. Via Cutfiffe and Payton, he was hired on as a Quality Control assistant and a QB coach assistant before following Gase to Chicago to work as the QB coach for Cutler under Gase last season.

Looks like he is far ahead of Zac Taylor as a hire.

Hardegree has seven years coaching experience at the collegiate and NFL levels. In 2014, he served as an offensive quality control coach with the Denver Broncos, who were second in the NFL in scoring offense (30.1 points per game) and fourth in total offense (402.9 yards per game).
Prior to his time with Denver, Hardegree spent three years at Louisiana State working as an intern on both the offensive (2012-13) and defensive (2011) sides of the ball. In his three seasons at LSU, the Tigers posted a 33-7 record, capturing the 2011 SEC title while earning a trip to the BCS National Championship Game.
Hardegree got his coaching start at Duke University where he served as a graduate assistant from 2008-10 working primarily with the offense, under head coach David Cutcliffe.
The Jackson, Tenn. native played both football (quarterback) and tennis at the University of Tennessee, graduating from the school in 2007 with a degree in exercise science. He was named to the All-SEC Academic team from 2004-07.
