Adam Gase went to Miami to get the most out of Ryan Tannehill, but he reached out to a guy he knows well for some depth.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Dolphins have signed quarterback Zac Dysert to a future contract.

Dysert was on the Texans practice squad this year, as they cycled through quarterbacks. But he was previously in camp with the Broncos and Bears, tagging along after Gase when he was there.

A former seventh-round pick out of Miami of Ohio, Dysert will be competing for a reserve job in Miami. Backup quarterback Matt Moore is a free agent, and the Dolphins promoted Logan Thomas to their active roster late in the season.
Gase bringing in one of his own to help implement his offensive system. Hope he pushes Moore off the roster and gives Thill some competition.

Maybe this means Matt Moore's free ride is coming to an end??
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

Dunno... we'll see. I like Matt Moore as a person, but he's just a waste of a roster spot and at $2.6M, he's a very expensive one.

Odd... Moore is no longer listed on the Cap page as being with the Fins... may be a typo, but an odd omission NTL...

I know he owns a multi-million dollar mansion back in Cali cause he bought it on my birthday. lol...

Finally he is a FA and hopefully not coming back. Maybe he follows Philbin to the Colts. Still not confident with Dysert or Logan T.

Yeah, my bad. I just realized that none of the FAs are listed. I should've caught that.

Agree on hoping he and his $2+M salary are gone. Hope he fares well. He'd do good with a team like AZ, Oak, or SD I think. Hell, he may end up with the Rams.

Still think we should draft Coker in the later rounds... Here comes the heat RT...... Nice move... Time to move on from Moore.. He provides no pressure on RT......Cut his ass..

Agree... funny reading about a career backup like Moore buying multi-million dollar properties. SMH...

Keep an eye on Carson Wentz. He's the wild card at QB this draft. He's going to tempt some team to take him in the 2nd or 3rd... Coker in the later rounds would be a nice pick up tho.

Don't know much about Dysert, but i did read where he broke Big Bens record at Miami of Ohio for all-time yardage (12,000 yards) Not sure if he's just a camp body,, still hoping RT gets some form of 'legitimate' competition for a change!

I would NOT call this competition for Tannehill. All this is is a warm body who can throw a ball A "camp arm", not someone who can really push Tannehill. The Dolphins need to bring in a good rookie and/or a veteran to push Tannehill, not some guy nobody has heard of other then doing a Google search.

I really thought Josh Freeman was better than Moore and even won a Game for the Vikings. He would provide a good competition or backup with experience. I want him back for a good price.

I thought Josh Freeman was going to be a lot better then he turned out. I knew he did really well in his rookie year and when I re-watched tape on him I was really impressed. I think there is something psychological going on with him. If he can get past those issues I think there is hope for him returning to form. I don't know if I would risk bringing him in again though, unless it was on the cheap, and even then I would still bring in another QB that I thought could push Tannehill for the starting job.

I think Moore is now a free agent and I hope we do not bring him back.
