Does anyone know what will happen to Dan Campbell now? When this new guy fails because RT blows(usually), you would think DC would be interim coach again. I assume this is another Todd Bowles situation. Anybody know anything?

Sorry about your loss dude....I think Bowles and Campbell are not in the same league but I wish the best for DC...-
My loss? I appreciate the sympathy, but we all lost. If we hired this guy based on the fact that he can "fix" Tannehill, then we have fallen even deeper. Ross is an idiot, with even dumber henchman. Since when did the Dolphins become Jets south? I don't think it's a stretch to say Tannenbomb never gave DC a real chance. He knew who he wanted. The glorified accountant destroys another team. Ross got the ball rolling though. The new guy might be a great OC, but they said that about Cameron too. -
Did you honestly not see enough of the "DC era" to see he was clearly WAY over his head, he had no clue about x's and o's, he did a poor job of managing the clock. Play calling was as generic as it possibly could be on both sides of the ball. So DC is a motivator (check), players love him (check), tough as nails (check), great guy (check). That's it though. DC could never have assembled a quality coaching staff. DC had no player evaluation experience. DC has no idea how to call a game on either side of the ball. Gase has 10 times the football acumen that Campbell has despite his lack of HC experience.
I love DC, but he had not chance of turning this team around. And honestly the 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense he would run doesn't work in today's NFL. We need more balance, but we need a more innovative offensive mind than DC if this team is going anywhere.

They're giving him a few days to cool off before they talk to him but it sounds like they are all for keeping him here but it will be his decision. I know Ross wants him to stay and I thought I read somewhere that Gase was open to it.While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.👍 1Comment

In My Opinion if Gase keeps him on the staff he is weak. Why would you keep a guy on staff that interviewed for your job and would like nothing else then the morons in charge to have him as their fallback guy, their ace in the hole if you make the slightest of mistakes. If he lets Campbell walk it will be harder to find a replacement for Gase so it would be in his best interest to let him walk to secure his job a little more."If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking." - George S. Or maybe Gase is so confident it doesn't matter with or with out DC... I'd be like,'yeah, keep him around so I can show him how it's done... Give me some that! Cable guy! lol -
You're offering me a bribe. What you have just done is illegal and in this state, if convicted, you could be fined up to $5,000 or spend six months in a correction facility! .....................You Like That?!? You Like That?!? Aha

Maybe the WWF or is it WWE or is it WCW? Big Daddy Dan Campbell, the Texas Tornado. He bounces off the ropes, flying body blocks you, pins you, then spits a big old chaw filled loogey on you.Comment

What did Campbell do as TE coach that makes him so attractive as a coach? I saw poor tight ends that couldn't block or catch. I have no desire for him to be on the new staff.👍 1Comment

Good post and my sentiments exactly...I like DC a lot, and it's not for what he's done as an interim HC..I like him for the same attributes you listed..But, i'm not sure how anyone can believe that DC had the experience or as you said the football acumen to currently take the reins of an NFL football team (Not sure Gase is that guy either, but that's a whole different conversation altogether!) People keep pointing to us losing out on Bowles & i keep saying that even Bowles wasn't ready; he went off & became a dc for years before finally getting his shot...

Very true on Bowles. He wasn't ready when he left Miami. He had interviews two years ago and didn't get a job as HC. Sometimes it takes a few years at a coordinator position, then unsuccessful interviews for a HC position. Gase mirrored what happened to Bowles. He was the hot coordinator two years ago. Interviewed and from what I'm hearing actually turned the 49ers down. Now this year Miami is giving him his shot. We have no choice but to wait and see. Unfortunately, I like all of you are tired of waiting to fix this franchise.

Hoping Gase is everything we've read that he is. I liked reading the comments from Payton Manning and others about him being the smartest guy in the room. That's great. Just hoping it translates onto the field.Comment

Agree... Dan needs more seasoning. He has the passion and the right ideas I think, but he wasn't ready overall. He started out well, then faltered.

I agree Cuch,, though i must admit i don't hold a lot of stock in regards to glowing reports on people no longer connected to that organization..I mean, the same things were said about PhailBum; nothing but comments about how amazing he was from the likes of Aaron Rodgers & Mike McCarthy on down to his kindergarten teachers..
Hoping the FO and the coaching staff are finally on the same page and all have a unified vision for the team👍 1Comment
