  • My conclusions

After today, I have drawn a few conclusions.

    1. Brent Grimes had a good game. Especially that pass he broke up, that would have been a TD if Jakarta Taylor was guarding the WR. He should be kept.

    2. We missed the boat on Jennings. He didn't have a great game, but he made some significant plays. That long grab in the first half, and the pass that was overturned come to mind.

    3. The refs are still stupid. How can there be a P.I. call when you would need a jetpack to catch the ball.

    4. Although there is a limited sample size, Campbell should be given another year.

    5. That bald spot on the back of Ross's head is also where part of his brain in missing. If he had it all, he wouldn't make such stupid decisions consistently, when it comes to this team.

    6. Tannenbomb will destroy this team, just like he did the Jets.

    I agree with numbers 3, 4 and 5.

Grimes did play a good game but his overall play is diminishing and he and his wife need to go.

Jennings also looked good but that is what he would look like if he had a real NFL quarterback throwing him the ball each week. Tannehill sucks and can only get the ball to receivers who run certain routes. Jennings is a class act on and off the field but his talent is wasted in Miami.

Campbell does not know what he is doing. In about 5-10 years he might be ready.

Tannehill actually had one of his better games today IMO. Had some nice chemistry with Parker and made some nice touch passes. Again, he had time, not a great running game but effective and the defense played well. To my point that you can win with him, but not because of him.

Agreed. He's a decent QB but we need better than decent.

Oh I agree, but there isn't a better option right now and I am not sold on any of the top QB's coming out. I think 2017 is a much better QB class.

Guess Aaron Rogers is a bad QB then because he didn't look great with GB either. Just stop it, as much as I loved the Jennings pick up, his best years are in the rear view mirror.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

I agree with everything you posted, Nole. Although I am aware that there are no guarantees that a college quarterback entering the NFL is a sure thing, I feel that since the Dolphins will more than likely be picking in the top 10 that there is a high probability that a player will be available to the Dolphins who would beat Tannehill out for the starting job. At their current spot they could land the 2nd best QB on the board, and the worst case scenario is they get the 3rd best. Or, they could wait until the 2nd round if Cook falls to them there after that horrible bowl game. Either way, it comes down to a difference of opinion I guess. We are in agreement on Tannehill for the most part. What we disagree on is that there are players coming out that could beat him out for the starting job. I like Lynch and Cook would do just that. It may not happen right away but I do believe that they would eventually beat Tannehill out in their rookie year.

The first and most important thing that must be addressed is the paper-thin OL. No QB would be successful if they are on the ground before he is able to grip the ball. The first few rounds should address the OL. In case you didn't notice,RT did ok today when he had time. Give him a real OL. If he fails, then we move on.

Nope! I wouldn't wait and see after doing anything. I've watched every snap for four years, I know what Tannehill can and cannot do. He had a good game today? Wow! I am so impressed. Let's give him another undeserved extension then. What this team needs is a REAL quarterback and a REAL leader. Tannehill is neither of these things. The only thing Tannehill needs it to either be traded or to get some REAL competition. Moore is content being a backup. The Dolphins need to bring in someone who can compete and push Tannehill for the starting job. True competition, not some bum off the street to give the illusion of completion. Nobody knows if the Dolphins will be drafting in the top 10 again anytime soon, so NOW is the time to go draft a true NFL ready quarterback. If they fail to do so now they will regret it in the years to come.
