  • It's Time To Cut Brent Grimes

Although I agree with just about everything she is saying about Ryan Tannehill, I do NOT think that he behavior is helping the TEAM and Grimes' play on the field coupled with his pricetag and his wife's incessant problems with leaking information about the Dolphins and attacking the players, it's time to cut Grimes AND his wife and let them poison another team.

"How many people does Ryan Tannehill have to get fired before you realize he's the problem?"

"I knew this quarterback stunk the moment we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn't discourage Brent from believing in his team."

"The Triple A's have an agenda. Destroy the defense and make it look like Tannehill is not the problem." (The Triple A's are Armando Salguero, Adam Beasley and the Palm Beach Post's Andrew Abramson)

The above quotes have been altered a bit so you can read them better but for the most part it's almost verbatim.

Again, all of you know that I agree with most of what she is saying, but that doesn't mean that I agree with her actions. It's one thing for me to post my feelings about Tannehill on a football forum where nobody knows who I am compared to someone who is in the public eye and drawing negative attention to the team and more than likely division in the locker room. The Dolphins met with Grimes and his wife at that time to explain that was not proper use of her press privileges. The Dolphins, you should know, have met with Brent Grimes about his wife at least five different occasions to express concern over Mrs. Grimes' colorful personality. At least five. Joe Philbin told me in the preseason he told Grimes in a meeting that he needed to address with his wife her social media behavior because, like it or not, it reflected poorly on the organization.
Due $9.5 million next season and another $8.5 million in 2017, Brent Grimes is the third-highest paid member of the Dolphins defense behind former All-Pro linemen Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake. Considering Miami ranks among the five worst teams in almost every defensive category, Miko Grimes isn't making it any easier on her husband if he hopes to avoid being among the roster cuts this summer.

IN MY OPINION it is time to either cut or trade Grimes. What are your thoughts on the subject?

The Dolphin organization has told BG 5 times to get this under control, I would have made him inactive 3 games ago for the rest of the season....Anyone can fall to the ground over and over again...hold, not cover, look like shyt,.....I mean anyone....

    McCain is better than BG.....

What's worse, you don't just get BG's, you get his Ho wife, not many teams would put up with that, could you imagine the first week Miko the Ho were to do this in NE, just like the NFL, Not For Long....

This is true but I am wondering why this is true. It seems kind of Stepford up there in New England. Could it be possible players and families are getting extra money under the table to act a certain way, as an encouragement?

With NE, who know's, but they have a pretty good organization, I'm sure things like this are addressed before they sign the dotted line....

Cheaters or not, they are the best in the league, half their team out yesterday and they almost won....we couldn't get off the bottom with our starters....that's the difference between us and them...

Wonder why Miko didn't call out Omar, oh yea I forgot he takes care of her when BG is on the road.....Not sure a brillo pad could scrub the getto off her....

yeah, i read that earlier...Man, you would've thought BG would've muzzled that bitch by now!

Anyway, i'd be surprised if not out & out knocked on my ass floored if BG is a member of the 2016 Miami Dolphins,, and he's probably thinking 'You say that like it's a bad thing!!!'

Cut Grimes now! Both him and his Ho bag wife suck and if BG can't shut his old lady's mouth, he sure can't defend a WR... and that's apparent.. But, The ho bag has a good point about Tannepill ,,,

She's always has an excuse for his play and it's never been because he had a bad day. It's the coaching, the defensive schemes, the quality of our safety, the refs. She is a pain in the ass, and Grimes play does not justify her VIAL BS that she posts. All she is doing is making an already poor team worse by shifting the blame all over the place. She may be right, but she isn't saying anything everyone else already knows. Ross cared more about $$ than winning - check (which is why he encouraged the NFL to put us on the road 7 out of our first 10 games). Tannehill stinks - check, we watch the games too. Although I'll disagree with her comment that Fox and Tannehill are equally shitty. Defensive schemes sucks - check - again we watch the games. Coaching sucks - check again.. So really Miko you're not telling anyone anything they can't already see. She is definitely the master of the obvious.

I believe we should cut Grimes after the season. If we do so we will save $6.5 million in cap space. I think we can sign a younger corner like Janoris Jenkins for about $8 million a year. So we can upgrade and get younger at a cost of only about $1.5 million.

Bench him this week then trade or cut him during the offseason. He has to go. He hasn't played worth crap since his wife was arrested.
              Can we sign this guy?

I say we put BG in as QB, then his Ho wife can visit with him all of next week in Miami Dade Hospital......

I think it would be a good idea to have Grimes play quarterback. If he wasn't 5'9" tall he could probably have an equal average then Tannehill. I mean, how hard would it be to complete about half your passes and throw 0.5 TD's a game?

We could have Peyton Manning, who is on the bench the last 6 games but leads the NFL in INT's....

Don't worry, we'll probably sign Manning this offseason!

As far as the whole Brent Grimes, Miko Grimes situation..i say we cut Brent & replace him with Miko; she's got better length and i'm pretty sure she's a hell of alot tougher!

There are probably only two quarterbacks that I wouldn't want over Tannehill; Bradford and Foles. Neither one of these quarterbacks has impressed me this season and they are probably the only two quarterbacks in the league who I wouldn't want instead of Tannehill. Some fans haven't given up on him but I obviously have. An elite offensive line is NOT going to help him with his mechanics, pocket presence, checkdowns, buying time, moving defensive backs with his eyes, quarterback awareness, etc. He is exactly who I thought he was, a SLIGHTLY better version of Chad Henne. TanneHenne.
