  • Question Of The Day

This question was posed to me yesterday by a friend of mine and it was a good one.

Hypothetically speaking - If the Panthers go undefeated and make it to the Super Bowl and end up playing the Patriots, who do you root for in this game?

Do you root against the Panthers so they don't share that exclusive title with the Dolphins and more than likely gtet more respect because they had to win more games?

Or, do you root for the Dolphins nemesis the New England Patriots?

Who would you root for in this game?

Panthers all the way. Records are made to be broken. And a Shula breaking that record might finally breake the curse that has been strangling the Dolphins for the last 49 years. Plus f*^# the New Engand Cheatas.

That's easy! you root for the Panthers so both Shula's have achieved something similar and I can never root for a team that has constantly cheated through out.....*

Aqua brought this up a while ago & i said it would be a nightmare..I can't ever root for the Pats to win a SB to add to their many & unlike other's here i'd hate to see that record broken..As shitty & irrelevant we've been in forever,, that record has always been something we could always call our own...

Btw, it is really starting to look like the Panthers have a legit shot...

          Panthers Remaining Schedule

          Falcons
          Giants
          Falcons
          Bucs

Unless one of these three teams has a fluke game and plays above what they've been playing all season, the Panthers may not lose until the playoffs, if at all. The Bucs could shock them..............the Giants are fighting for a playoff spot so they could also surprise us, after all, they are the Patriots killer who seem to be able to beat them when no other teams can so maybe they can do it to the Panthers too.

If it came down to the pats or the Panthers, I would go with the Panthers. First, I can't stand the cheatriots. Second, maybe it's time for that record to go away and if it is I can think of no better person than Mike Shula. Third, if it happens maybe Ross with think that gives Shula a big enough name to consider him for the HC position.

Great Points! I especially like the idea of it waking Ross up and going after Mike Shula because of them going undefeated.

Pats, as much as I hate them, they are good and very well coached, but no matter what i would want the only perfect season to stay in one city....

It's not going to happen. If you look at who they played this season the only teams they beat that impress are the Seahawks and the Packers and even those two teams have struggled. I see the Panthers making the playoffs but don't see them getting by Arizona or the Seahawks in the playoffs.

If however it does happen, I'd root for the Panthers. I could never root for the cheatin Pats.

Agree, Panthers won't beat the Seahawks the way they are playing right now. But if... I'd take the Panthers - I'm so sick of NE and it's fans I'd rather share the undefeated status than have to deal with those blowhards!

Don't know D, have you watched 'em?..They're pretty tough. Their D is pretty stout & Mike Shula has Cam Newton & that O clickin' on all cylinders!

I agree, DP. The most important thing about their offense to me is that PLAYCALLING is a big reason why they are doing so well. Yes, Cam Newton is playing at an extremely high level but without the playcalling I do not think Newton would have had this much success. I have watched enough Panthers games and have focused on their offensive play calls and was very impressed. I'm not saying that it's a guarantee that just because an OC is doing a great job that will translate into him being a great head coach but the Dolphins have tried two offensive line coached and should avoid those coaches completely. If Mike Shula can bring in the right OC and DC that would be the key to his success in Miami.

I honestly haven't paid much attention to them but Arizona isn't exactly a slouch team either bud. It's one of those games which I think if these two teams do meet, it will be hard fought, but I think Arizona has as good a chance as anyone of advancing to the SB. JMHO.

I'm still floored in the way Palmer has improved.. I can't believe he's playing at such a high level.... For a USC QB I'm impressed...

Agreed Rick. Doesn't even look like the same guy who played for the Bengals. Does this mean RT could be a damn fine QB within the right system?

Possibly D1, great question, I think because of his lack of pocket presence and his accuracy past 20yds pretty much says it all... Not sure if any system can fix that.. Sure be nice if RT wasn't in question though...

I agree 100% that the Cards are no slouches and have a really good shot; that will be a great game if they meet up in the NFC Championship!
