It's sad that the Dolphins coaching staff couldn't pull this season together. Looking at this schedule and ALL the teams records that they had to play, they really could have made a real playoff run this season. The Patriots should have been their only true competition. Unfortunately, the Dolphins were stuck with another inept coaching staff that couldn't beat teams with losing records. They have only played two teams that have current winning records. That's sad but true. I have a feeling that the Dolphins will lost 3 of their last 4 games, possibly all 4 unless they have a fluke game and allow the hapless Chargers to beat them. Let's hope the Dolphins hire a head coach who can built a winning next season.

Thats one of the reasons expectations for the Dolphins was so high, because we got to play the AFC South and the NFC East, the two worst divisions in the NFL. We have fared reasonably well outside of our own division going 5-2. The problem is that we have been totally incompetent against our own division going 0-5 and not even being competitive in one single game. Thats inexcusable.

We didn't do enough to address our needs along the o-line, LB corps and the secondary and Tannehill has regressed and we have very little to no depth on the roster. Not to mention the coaching hasn't been good from Philbin to a totally inexperienced Campbell. You could even argue that we are fortunate to be 5-7. We could have easily lost to the Redskins Eagles and Ravens.

And the same Eagles we beat, beat the Patriots yesterday. The Redskins beat the Giants this year.Texans beat the Bengals and the Jets.

We can play what if all day. Clearly anything can happen in the NFL. We just don't have key pieces and in some matches that kills us. Hard to win in the NFL when you can't run, or stop the run, or protect the QB or cover. Too many holes on this roster.

Hard to win anything at all period, if you go winless against your division!

YUP! I posted those #'s the other day,, it's a mind-boggling stat..and some like to think that we're on the right track! It almost seems like you'd score more than that by accident...

No secret that success starts in the line on offense.

I agree with you there Matt but God only knows why we haven't been able to piece together a decent line in like forever...

that is it exactly ,miami has holes that some teams take advantage of and other teams don't .
so teams we matchup well with we play them strong.
the thing about this season is miami has some gaping hole that other teams have taken advantage of and we don't do that to other teams to often.
campbell has said ,this guy and that guy has done good for us,yes he is right ,but they have done well in this game but where horrible in that game!
a team can't survive with that kind of inconsistency .

Worst thing about the schedule is we will win a few of these and find ourselves drafting in the middle of the pack again. Not that it matters because this team can screw up the 1st pick just as easy as it can screw up the 12th pick.

Salt in the wound - Ted Gin Jr. has the same amount of TD's as Landry and Parker combined.

I was kidding with that comment. It's true that he has the same amount of touchdowns as both players combined but I would NOT want him on the Dolphins. He is 30 years old now and he still looks scared out there. The catches that I have seen him make he is usually all by himself. If anyone is near him he is timid and does drop the ball.

yeah, i know you were just throwing it out there...Still burns me up after all these years that we seriously over-drafted a glorified kick returner @ #9 overall...Btw, anyone catch Cortland Finnegan playing for the Panthers,, just wondering if resigning him would'e been better than the garbage we have back there??

I noticed they signed him and I can't imagine him being worse then the garbage that the Dolphins have right now.

No salt in that wound, not when it took him what? 8 years to blossom?

Right. I don't miss Ginn in the least.

I would take him for the league minimum, for kickoff and punt returns,.then put him once in a while to stretch the field..Do the same as Wallace did without the high price or complaining. They both have the same hands.

This is pathetic. I'm not going to play the broken record on all the things that have been stated on here even going back to last year on the old forum but this team as a whole doesn't play for all 4 quarters. One unit may show up then the other 2 don't and just mix them up for another game or another quarter. We had and still have an easy schedule and the stars aligned for us and this team couldn't capitalize on it, AGAIN!
