    Eagles Game.....

    We shouldn't feel really good about beating the Eagles by 1 point 2 weeks ago, the Lions just destroyed them 45-14, and was easy on them in the 4th quarter......

    Goes to show we are not an explosive team. Eagles basically gave us the game. Ireland he picks early round busts and late round gems and it shows on this team.

        Tarp - you could say the same thing about us if we hadn't had a rash of key injuries each of the past 2 seasons - Delmas, Albert, James, Jenkins, Misi, Parker, etc...

        To be an explosive team you HAVE TO HAVE GOOD OL PLAY. It is the key. You have to give the QB time and stop him being hit. You have to open holes for the running game so the play action works and you can get yards on the ground. The reason our Offense is not good is at least 80% due to OL. Could other things do better? Sure.....but with an outstanding line (some problems being health related) we'd have at least 2-3 more wins.

          2 Oline gurus as HC and they can't do didley. I hope the next staff can develop the talent we have and soon to aquire.

          We haven't fixed this or had a good OL in years. Not coincidentally, we haven't had a good Offense in years either.

        I think you guys are forgetting how many players we had out due to injuries. We had 7 rookies, backups, and PS guys playing in this game. We also kill ourselves with penalties.
