  • Why is Jamar Taylor still on the field?

Maybe the worst corner we have ever had. He is a liability and teams know it. THEY FEAST on him every week. There has got to be someone in the world that is better.

He should switch positions with Jason Fox, neither could possibly be any worse than the other at their current positions..while we're at it let's try switching Walt Aikens & Tannehill....

IDK...... Tanny might actually be a decent DB...... We couldn't have that.

Its really disappointing that it looks like he is going to be yet another high round draft bust. I had high hopes for him. I thought he was starting to play better the last few weeks but he was utterly horrible today. He killed is with that crucial penalty when we had the Cowboys pinned deep in their own territory and we sacked Romo and they were going to have to punt the ball and we would have gotten the ball back in good field position down only 7-0 early in the 2nd quarter but his holding penalty gave them a first down and they basically ate up the rest of the 2nd quarter on that drive when Taylor gave up that 30 yard TD pass to put us down 14-0.

We desperately needed him to develop into at least a decent #2 corner but it doesn't look like he is going to. How horrible is that 2013 draft looking now? With picks #12 #42 and #53 we got Dion Jordan who's future with the Dolphins and in the NFL is uncertain at best and Jamar Taylor who looks like he might be yet another bust.

Total team meltdown. Penalties across the board on all units.

Aikens is probably our worst overall player. He was targeted often as he is clueless and a total liability. Followed by Fox. I had Taylor as the 3rd worst. Pouncey and Dallas Thomas were in there as well. Pouncey is still fkn up snaps.

Aikens has no business on the field if we have other options. As for Taylor, he's not bad in run support, but he was beat all day by that WR.

        Put me in coach....

        I'm better than Aikens.

There are several players who have no business on the field. This team is void of talent in several areas, and void of coaching everywhere.

This is what makes it so hard. We have some bright spots, like our pass rush and Wide Receivers. Reshad Jones. But then we have such huge gaping holes that are REALLY bad. Just frustrating.

I'm very disappointed in Taylor's play as well but, am gonna wait a while before saying any player does not belong on the field. I don't know a lot on analyzing CB's. Sam Madison does, worked with Taylor for two preseasons, and says he can be a VG CB if he stays healthy. Sam was a VG CB, said the same on Vonte, and I can't argue with him on CB's.

Loved Sam Madison,, but my problem with his opinion is that i'm not sure he'd throw the kid under the bus even if he absolutely believes in his heart he'll never be a good NFL Corner...Personally i was super-stoked when we drafted JT as i believed he was gonna be a stud at the next level (Add it to the list of reasons why you wouldn't want me as your GM!!!) But sometimes great college players for whatever reason just can't make the leap,, Jason Allen anyone??, Jamar Fletcher??...

Sorry So Be Madison can't defend this kid's horrible play. He won't publicly slam him, but the kid gets roasted every week.

No doubt but, I have seen a lot of CB's get burnt in their first year of being a starter. I'm not defending his play, just his talent. As I recall, there wee many who thought Vonte and Smith were both busts in their first year as full time starters. Taylor's injuries have made it tuff to judge at this point, at least for me.

Taylor is bad, but half the time he's roasted he should have a FS over the top and doesn't. Aikens is the bigger liabilty IMO. The Cowboys specifically went after our LBs and FS. Hewitt got beat, but he's a LB underneath on Dez. Aikens was the one who should have had coverage and was out of position all game.

Completely at a loss to understand what Arunumo is doing with his packages swapping out Aikens and Thomas. I'm not happy with Thomas either, but he's far and away the better of the two.

Aikens is good on Special Teams, but that is about it. Completely clueless in pass coverage. He's a disaster and teams target him specifically. He is always out of position.

Don't want to argue with years and years of draft experience but I said Jamar Taylor was way overrated and a mistake on draft day; another waste of a 2nd rounder. Only decent from 0-5 yards from the line of scrimmage with lousy hands. But who am I to say?

So I guess that only makes Taylor half bad. I want to see more before giving up.

Of the remaining half, 1/4 of the time he's ok and the other 1/4 he's just toast.

Man, Aikens is really bad, isn't he? I thought it might be good to have a guy with CB skills back there but he is definitely lost at FS and the position change has somehow drained him of any ball skills he once had. Now he just runs and waits for the receiver to catch the ball before trying to do anything. It's contagious or something.

He's clueless and he bites on everything. No idea why Arunumo kepts putting him in the game, let alone inside the RZ.

Its shocking how bad he is. I don't think we'd be much worse off playing 10 men. I don't like to rail on a guy - but Delmas going down was a much bigger blow than most people realize. Aikens is totally lost back there. Thomas is a JAG, but at least he's not clueless. I think woeful FS play (AIKENS!) is making the CBs look even worse than they do on their own....where as a great safety can make up for a lot of flaws at CB or LB.

I knew as soon as Delmas was lost for the year we were thoroughly screwed..Not only did he lead by example but he was also the biggest vocal leader of our D...
