  • Time to let RT Audible

Whether you like RT or not, it's time to let RT audible.

Let's find out what he's capable of, I know Lazor's not capable of running this O.

If RT not capable of running the O from the field and changing plays when you see the play that is called won't work because the D is going to squash it, then we can't beat a good team.

We are now beating bad teams that we should beat, but are getting pounded by teams that are good....

Good for the Dolphins yesterday, down 16-3 and fought back, haven't seen that in quite sometime.....

Yep I heard the announcer on CBS mentioned why he didn't audible when they stacked the box yesterday.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

This is all about Lazor and not RT. Lazor (like Kelley) believe all plays are good plays and have the option for the QB to read the defense and pick the right mismatch. Personally I think it's a ludicrous thought process. The NFL is too sophisticated to call a play and stick with it 100% of the time. Time for Lazor to get the fook out of Dodge....

Regardless of who the HC is next year, I seriously doubt that Lazor is with Miami on draft day...

Lazor sucks ass, i hate to be rude but it is what it is...That said, i thought i read that RT has the option to switch it up when he gets to the line and reads the D..Also, he has 'hot routes' as does every QB on blitz reads, it's up to RT to pick these up...

He has a very limited role in what he can change, it would be nice to let RT change the play and not whether to hand off or hit hot reads....

How much game film does it take to see where the play is going if you do "A" on D or if you do "B" on D, good teams know where our reads are when they set their D, limiting RT only makes it easier for opposing D's....

From what I read, Tannehill has the option to either execute the play as called and go thru progressions - or keep it and run. That's it, no changing from a pass to a run play or vs versa. It's all on him and the OL. He's expected to have found the open man by the time he's at the end of his drop and get the ball out.Yesterday after one of the sacks RT took, that they showed how none of the receivers were open and the Lbs were sitting on the hot read. Coverage sack and it happened fast.

If that's the case cuch, i'd tell Lazor to go screw himself if i was RT; especially after that hit he took on the safety..He's lucky he's not in a freakin' body cast today!!

Have to wonder what good the audibles would do with Turner and Fox on the right side, a TE who cannot block, and a 2nd TE who has not seen much playing time. They are just trying to get blocking down in starting for mostly the first time in Miami.

Would let RT pick who's going to level him....

Those guys are usually better in man run blocking where they just get to hit someone. He should be able to switch from pass to run and vs versa with a few canned plays I'd think.

When Lazor was asked about the Dolphins having hot routes, he answered. "Haven't you been watching us the last three years? That's all we have is hot routes." Later that day,. after Tannehill had read the article, he approached Lazor and asked, "Hey coach, what is a hot route?" Lazor kind of waved off Tannehill's concern and said, "Don't listen to them. It's exactly what we're running now, you just have to throw it when they're open."

I think RT has a "check with me" at LOS. He has the play Lazor called and 1 alternate that Lazor called as the "check with me" alternate. But there is no way that RT has the green light to just audible to a different play from the playbook that Lazor didn't call. I like the idea of just turning RT loose and let him sink or swim. We need to determine whether he has a future as out franchise QB or not. What's the worse that could happen? We would lose 3 of 4 against inferior opponents?
