  • Gutsy win

Thats the only way to describe it. It wasn't pretty but we kept fighting and never gave up. When Sturgis missed that FG when the score was 16-3 that was the turning point of the game. Finally an ex Dolphin didn't come back to haunt us.

I was impressed with our pass rush. We really got after Bradford and eventually knocked him out of the game. Reshad Jones made the play of the game with his INT although he should have stayed in the end zone afterwards. After that horrible first quarter we only allowed 3 more points so you have to give kudos to our defense. Our offense was pretty much what we have been accustomed to but they made some timely plays and we got lucky on that tipped pass which landed in Landry's arms.

I know some will try to denigrate this win but I was impressed with it because we showed some grit and resolve and we didn't fold our tents when things were going against us in the first quarter. We kept fighting through it and we were rewarded for our tenacity.

Now we have a huge game next week at home against the Cowboys. We can get to 5-5 and right back in the WC race.

When Miami had to punt with less than 2 minutes left, I only gave us a 30 percent chance to win. We were giving up so much to their TEs that I admit I had no confidence. Glad we hung in and showed the fight!
The deeper the roots, the higher the reach.

Agreed. Jones made the play of the game - then stupidly ran out of the EZ and put our Offense is a terrible starting position.

Still, considering our defense consists of Suh, Jones, and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers, as well as guys signed off the PS a week of so ago, they played pretty well. Suh was extremely dominant today with 8 tackles, 3 stuffs, and 3 QB hits and a sack.

Shelby and Fede had productive days as well. Chris McCain came up with a huge play for the strip sack and knocked Bradford out of the game. Bobby McCain had good day in relief of Grimes. Taylor laid some wood. Mike Hull made a few plays.

Sims and Cameron both had a rough day. Neither were very good in either blocking or as a receiver.

Special Teams remains a huge problem.

Friggin Giants blew it. Landon Collins should have ended the game but he dropped the INT. Sucks. The Pats losing would have made it a perfect day.

what i saw was exactly what you said, the defense that consists of suh ,jones, and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers!
slow moving can't tackle on first contact defense.
linebackers can't cover an old lady with a walker!

Agreed... or if Beckham had secured that damn TD in the EZ instead of trying to showboat early and extend the ball out for the DB to knock away.

The Giants also gave up the long 4th down conversion. Chance after chance they shat the bed. Eli had a fantastic game though I thought.

The stinking pats are like vampires. You have to drive a stake through their heart to kill them. You can't give them extra chances to beat you because they will.

Should've never come down to that final Pats drive...Coughlin & Co. once again butchered the time management by throwing the ball 3 times before kicking the go-ahead FG leaving the Pats nearly an eternity to drive down & win the game..had they run the ball the Pats would've been left with under a minute...The Giants just blew the best shot of anyone stopping the Pats from going undefeated!

Agreed. Giants had a lot of opps to put them away and failed to do so. Pats secondary has been suspect all season. I understand the GIants throwing on them, but yes, they should have been eating clock that last drive. Sucks. Hate the lucky fkn Pats and their douchey QB.

They really are though... Delmas, Grimes, Wake, Jenkins, etc... have been replaced with Aikens/Thomas, rookie Bobby McCain, Shelby/Chris McCain, Mike Hull, etc...

Still, we held the Eagles, who average over 24 ppg to 19 points.

Real test is next week with the Romo coming back for the boys.

Defense has to be a top priority in next years draft. We need DE LB DB and FS help.

Yes... Probably going to come down to the highest ranked DE or CB on the board when we pick. Shaq Lawson would look awesome in aqua and white. lol...

That said, we've needed solid MLB and SLB forever. Hopefully, we get Dion Jordan back as well and send OV on his way.

Not gonna hold my breath on DJ bud. Think he follows Peter Pan in not wanting to grow up.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

What a monumental disaster that would be and already is since we are getting absolutely nothing from our first and one of our second round picks in the 2013 draft. Thats why we have so many needs because we suck at the draft.

Yeah, that win showed a lot of heart. They could have easily folded up after the first quarter but they fought, and the d line beat the shit out of Bradford. The entire d line (sans Mitchell) had a best of a day which is where it all started.
