I say do it! Nothing runs for free and all the time and effort Matt puts in. I know Matt mentioned in his Intro that he wants to keep the Zone AD free but I feel that in good taste we all probably don't mind. Only request is the ADs that wiggle around until you hit X in box. I hate those with a passion.

The revenue rules for ads has changed. You used to get paid for ad views, now you only get paid for ad clicks. Matt and I have talked about this. To the extent the site stays small enough to keep the server costs low, it's better to keep it ad free. But he has to keep his options open so that the operating costs don't eat him alive. It certainly helps to the extent that he can sell some shirts and stuff at the Finzone Shop above or get some donations at that link above. Because even a small site doesn't run for free.
